📝 Job Description

Infosys is looking for a Java + Spring Boot Senior Developer to join their Pune development center. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications using Java and the Spring Boot framework. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps, and product owners—to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions that meet client requirements.

As a Senior Developer, you will mentor junior engineers, participate in architecture discussions, and ensure best practices in coding, testing, and performance tuning. 🧩 Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Development
  • Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical designs.
  • Develop RESTful microservices and web modules using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
  • Implement robust data access layers using Spring Data JPA and Hibernate.
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing (JUnit/Mockito) and code reviews.

• Performance & Optimization
  • Analyze and profile application performance; optimize code, SQL queries, and caching strategies.
  • Configure and tune application servers (Tomcat, Jetty) and the Spring Boot embedded server for production readiness.

• Integration & DevOps
  • Integrate services with messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and external APIs.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to automate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Manage configuration via Git and participate in automated deployments to AWS or other cloud platforms.

• Mentoring & Collaboration
  • Mentor junior developers and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies—sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives—and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with QA testers to troubleshoot and resolve defects in development, staging, and production environments.

• Documentation & Governance
  • Document design patterns, API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI), and architectural decisions.
  • Follow Infosys coding standards, security guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Engage in peer code reviews, ensure proper branching strategy, and maintain traceability matrices.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in Java development with a focus on Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and building microservices-based architectures.
  • Proven expertise in RESTful API development, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and transaction management.
  • Strong understanding of database design and SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle).
  • Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and caching solutions (Redis, Ehcache).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (Angular/React) is a plus.

• Technical Skills
  • Java 8+ (core, concurrency, collections).
  • Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Cloud (Eureka, Config, Gateway).
  • ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA).
  • Build tools: Maven or Gradle.
  • Containerization: Docker; orchestration: Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
  • Cloud services: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) or Azure.
  • Version control: Git.
  • Unit testing: JUnit, Mockito; integration testing: TestContainers or similar.

• Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed Agile team.
  • Mentoring mindset and willingness to share knowledge.

💰 Estimated Salary Range

• Monthly Salary: ₹1,00,000 – ₹1,50,000

• Annual CTC: ₹12 LPA – ₹18 LPA
