Job Description:

Infineon is hiring an Assistant Engineer Tooling in Bangalore to join its Embedded Microcontrollers Development team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and validation of microcontroller device driver software for ARM Cortex-based systems, supporting cutting-edge applications in embedded systems, communication interfaces, and smart devices.

As part of the engineering team, you will work on developing software components for peripherals such as Ethernet, USB, UART, CAN, SPI, I2C, and more. You will be involved in application and UI development, software architecture design, and validation processes. The role also requires analyzing software requirements, resolving ambiguities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient embedded solutions. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and validate device driver software for microcontroller peripherals such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
• Design and enhance behavioral and functional models in C++ for ARM or 80x51-based microcontroller platforms.
• Participate in software requirements analysis, ensuring clarity and resolving ambiguities in specifications.
• Create and maintain architecture, design, and test documentation for software components.
• Develop regression test suites and perform debugging to identify and fix software defects.
• Work on automated code generation tools and scripts to improve development efficiency.
• Collaborate with application engineers and cross-functional teams to implement technical solutions.
• Contribute to validation infrastructure development and ensure product quality through testing.
• Follow Agile Scrum methodologies for software development and project execution.
• Continuously learn new technologies and share knowledge within the team to drive innovation.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in embedded software development or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in C++ with knowledge of object-oriented programming, STL, and data structures.
• Understanding of ARM Cortex or 80x51 microcontroller architectures and embedded systems concepts.
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with debugging tools and IDEs such as Keil or similar environments.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Windows scripting for automation tasks.
• Experience with unit testing tools and regression testing practices.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and design appropriate test scenarios.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
