Job Description
Indium is hiring a Test Engineer to join its Game Testing division in Bangalore North. As a global leader in quality engineering and digital assurance, Indium provides specialized testing services across industries, including gaming, where user experience and performance are critical. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of mobile-based gaming applications. The Test Engineer will play a key role in identifying bugs, validating gameplay features, and ensuring a seamless experience for end users across various devices and platforms.
The position involves hands-on testing of mobile games, including functional, usability, and performance testing. The candidate will use tools like Charles Proxy to analyze network traffic and debug issues, ensuring smooth communication between applications and servers. Additionally, the role requires creating and executing detailed test plans, managing defects using tools like JIRA, Asana, or TestRail, and ensuring that all reported issues are tracked and resolved efficiently.
Beyond technical testing, the role emphasizes collaboration, communication, and passion for gaming. The Test Engineer will work closely with development teams, designers, and stakeholders to ensure that games meet quality standards before release. Roles & Responsibilities

Design and execute test plans and test cases for mobile gaming applications to ensure quality and performance.

Perform functional, usability, and regression testing on mobile platforms.

Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Asana, or TestRail.

Use Charles Proxy to monitor network traffic and debug issues related to application-server communication.

Validate game features, user interactions, and gameplay mechanics across different devices.

Collaborate with developers and designers to resolve defects and improve user experience.

Ensure timely execution of testing cycles and adherence to project deadlines.

Provide detailed reports on test results, defects, and overall product quality.

Work independently as well as within teams to achieve testing objectives.

Continuously improve testing processes and stay updated with gaming industry trends.
Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.

1 to 2 years of experience in software testing, preferably in mobile or game testing.

Hands-on experience in testing mobile applications across platforms.

Familiarity with Charles Proxy for debugging and network analysis.

Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Asana, or TestRail.

Ability to create and execute test plans and test cases effectively.

Strong communication skills to report issues clearly and collaborate with teams.

Analytical mindset with attention to detail for identifying defects and inconsistencies.

Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
