Job Description:

In this position, you will work on advanced networking technologies such as Layer 2/3 forwarding, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, and EVPN, contributing to packet processing and system-level innovations. You will also be involved in debugging complex issues related to microkernel and Linux-based systems, ensuring reliability and performance across large-scale deployments. The role offers exposure to real-world networking challenges and enterprise-grade infrastructure.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance system-level software components, including networking and operating system modules.
  • Implement and optimize packet forwarding features across Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols such as IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, and EVPN.
  • Debug and resolve complex issues in Linux or microkernel environments to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Execute test plans and validate software functionality, identifying and fixing defects efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and development partners to deliver high-quality and cost-effective solutions.
  • Participate in the design and development of networking utilities, databases, and system tools.
  • Analyze customer-reported issues and provide effective solutions to improve product reliability.
  • Contribute to continuous innovation by identifying improvements in system architecture and performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and enhance product features.
  • Maintain and improve existing software features while ensuring compatibility with evolving technologies.

Requirements & Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in software development or system programming.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ with hands-on debugging experience.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and routing protocols.
  • Knowledge of Layer 2/3 packet forwarding, MPLS, VPLS, EVPN, and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with operating systems concepts, including Linux or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Basic understanding of algorithms, data structures, and computer architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Exposure to RISC architectures, cloud technologies, or distributed systems is an added advantage.
