Job Description:

Eurofins Scientific is hiring a Sr QA / QA Test Engineer in Bengaluru to support the quality assurance initiatives of its global Information Systems group. As a leading international life sciences company operating across 63 countries with over 950 laboratories, Eurofins relies heavily on robust, scalable, and secure digital platforms. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the reliability and performance of enterprise-grade laboratory and cloud-based applications, including critical programs like ComLIMS within the EurIS suite. The selected candidate will perform manual and automation testing across web-based applications and web services in client–server environments while contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes aligned with Agile and SCRUM methodologies.

The position requires hands-on experience in functional testing, sanity testing, regression testing, database testing, and end-to-end integration testing. Candidates will also script C# or .NET-based automation code to validate services and UI components. Strong knowledge of SQL, UML, SDLC, and STLC processes is essential, along with experience in API testing and SOAP/REST service automation. This role emphasizes ownership, accountability, and timely delivery while ensuring adherence to defined test strategies and quality standards across the software lifecycle.

The QA Engineer will collaborate with development teams, project managers, business analysts, and cloud engineering teams to enhance application lifecycle management and deployment practices. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Perform manual testing of web-based applications and web services in client–server environments.
   Ensure all features meet functional and non-functional quality requirements.

2. Develop and execute automation scripts using C#/.NET to validate UI and service-level functionalities.
   Improve regression efficiency and reduce repetitive manual testing cycles.

3. Conduct Sanity, Functional, Database, End-to-End Integration, and Regression testing independently.
   Ensure adherence to SCRUM guidelines and sprint timelines.

4. Validate APIs through SOAP and REST service automation.
   Identify defects in data flow, response handling, and service integration.

5. Collaborate with developers, QA leads, business analysts, and project managers.
   Maintain clear communication regarding progress, blockers, and quality risks.

6. Maintain strong compliance with SDLC and STLC processes.
   Follow defined test strategies, test plans, and documentation standards.

7. Troubleshoot and escalate blocking issues in a timely manner.
   Ensure deviations from SOPs are addressed with proper reporting.

8. Support DevOps activities including build, release management, and lifecycle management.
   Contribute to deployment processes and cloud-based quality practices.

9. Participate in application lifecycle management and L3 support activities when required.
   Provide operational assistance during periodic or emergency scenarios.

10. Maintain and enhance technical documentation, DevOps guidelines, and knowledge repositories.
    Share learning and best practices within international teams.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. BE, MCA, or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
   Strong foundational knowledge in software engineering and testing methodologies.

2. 1–4 years of experience as Software Developer or QA/Test Engineer.
   Prior development experience is considered a strong advantage.

3. Proficiency in .NET, C#, and SQL.
   Ability to create automation scripts and validate backend databases effectively.

4. Experience in API testing and SOAP/REST service automation.
   Strong understanding of request-response structures and integration testing.

5. Clear understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
   Familiarity with Agile and SCRUM methodologies is mandatory.

6. Hands-on experience in database validation and SQL queries.
   Ability to analyze data inconsistencies and backend logic errors.

7. Knowledge of test management processes and defect tracking tools.
   Capability to design innovative testing flows for complex scenarios.

8. Exposure to DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, or similar platforms.
   Basic understanding of cloud environments like Azure, AWS, or GCP is beneficial.

9. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes is desirable.
   Exposure to configuration management practices adds value.

10. Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international environment.
    Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of independent problem-solving.

Expected Salary:

For Sr QA / QA Test Engineer roles in Bengaluru with 1–4 years of experience, the typical salary range falls between ₹5 LPA to ₹10 LPA depending on expertise in automation, API testing, and DevOps exposure.
