Job Description

The Junior Associate – NOC role at Deloitte is a critical entry-level position within the Artificial Intelligence & Engineering practice, focused on ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical IT infrastructure and applications. This role operates within a 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) environment, where real-time monitoring, rapid incident response, and operational excellence are essential. As part of Deloitte’s Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure team, you will help support enterprise-scale platforms that power client operations across industries.

In this role, you will act as the first line of defense for application and infrastructure health by continuously monitoring systems using industry-leading tools. You will play a key role in incident detection, triage, escalation, and coordination with resolver teams. The position emphasizes operational discipline, adherence to ITIL-aligned processes, and strong communication to ensure incidents are resolved efficiently with minimal business impact. Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform continuous “eyes-on-glass” monitoring of applications and infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools to detect anomalies and performance issues in real time.

• Act as an Incident Coordinator by initiating or joining major incident bridge calls, tracking progress, and ensuring timely escalation to resolver teams.

• Triage auto-generated alerts and tickets based on standard operating procedures, ensuring rapid acknowledgment and response.

• Drive incident resolution by collaborating with L1, L2, infrastructure, application, DevOps, and vendor teams.

• Maintain and enhance knowledge bases, known error databases, and SOP documentation to improve first-line resolution rates.

• Identify recurring issues and recommend automation or “shift-left” opportunities to reduce manual intervention.

• Track and report operational metrics such as MTTD, MTTR, ticket volumes, and incident trends for continuous improvement.

• Support post-incident reviews and root cause analysis activities to prevent recurrence of issues.

• Ensure strict adherence to service coverage requirements, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as part of rotation schedules.

Requirements & Eligibility

• 6 to 18 months of experience in IT operations, NOC, SOC, incident management, or application support within a 24/7 environment.

• Hands-on experience with system and application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Nagios, SolarWinds, or Datadog.

• Working knowledge of ITSM platforms like ServiceNow or JIRA for incident, change, and ticket management.

• Understanding of alert configuration, dashboarding, and real-time monitoring concepts.

• Exposure to incident coordination, major incident handling, and stakeholder communication.

• Basic scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or Bash is preferred.

• Familiarity with SOP documentation, knowledge management, and ITIL-aligned processes.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education such as BSc IT or BCA; ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.

Expected Salary

For the Junior Associate – NOC role at Deloitte in Chennai or Hyderabad, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹3.5 LPA to ₹6 LPA, depending on experience, certifications, and technical exposure.
