beBeeAutomation is seeking a Technical Lead in API Test Automation to join their growing technology team in Bengaluru. This role is integral to ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through robust automated testing strategies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Java, RestAssured, and Selenium, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines. As a Technical Lead, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA analysts, and product managers to ensure complete test coverage and early defect detection. Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated API and UI tests using Java, RestAssured, and Selenium.

• Ensure automation scripts are scalable, maintainable, and follow coding and testing best practices.

• Implement improvements to existing automation frameworks and processes to enhance testing efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to ensure end-to-end test coverage.

• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable faster and reliable software delivery.

• Track and report automation progress, test coverage, defects, and risks to project stakeholders.

• Mentor junior QA engineers, provide technical guidance, and promote adoption of automation best practices.

• Stay updated with emerging automation tools and technologies, implementing relevant innovations.

• Document testing strategies, automation frameworks, and standard operating procedures for team knowledge sharing.

Requirements & Eligibility

• 3–6 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3+ years in API test automation.

• Strong programming skills in Java and proficiency with RestAssured for API testing.

• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.

• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git and familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.

• Exposure to message streaming tools such as Kafka is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to debug complex automation scripts.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills to lead a team effectively.

• Ability to work from client location as required and adapt to dynamic project environments.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for a Technical Lead – API Test Automation in Bengaluru ranges between ₹5 LPA and ₹15 LPA, depending on experience, technical expertise, and hands-on automation capabilities. Candidates with strong leadership skills, proficiency in Java-based automation, and experience with API testing frameworks may secure compensation at the higher end of this range.
