Amazon Business, Private Brands & Re-commerce is expanding its presence in India and building a strategic team that will define the future of e-commerce innovation. As part of this initiative, Amazon is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer I (QAE I) to join its QA/SDET team. In this role, you will design, plan, and execute manual and automated testing for software across multi-tier architectures. You will collaborate closely with development teams, contribute to building scalable test frameworks, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing comprehensive test suites, validating solutions via automated frameworks, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce QA overhead.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute functional, regression, and integration testing for distributed systems.

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, SOAPUI, and scripting languages.

• Collaborate with development teams to identify test requirements, create test strategies, and validate software designs.

• Write and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure product functionality, scalability, and security.

• Perform UI testing, API automation testing, and backend validation across diverse architectures.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and document defects, ensuring timely resolution in alignment with release cycles.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, tooling enhancements, and automation adoption.

• Ensure effective coverage of edge cases, use cases, and system-level scenarios.

• Conduct test case reviews, drive sign-off processes with stakeholders, and deliver test execution reports.

• Contribute to creating a culture of quality-first development within the engineering organization.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Minimum 1+ year of experience in Quality Assurance Engineering.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing and automation testing.

• Experience with UI and API automation testing using Selenium, SOAPUI, or similar tools.

• Strong foundation in scripting languages such as Java, Python, Perl, or JavaScript.

• Understanding of software testing methodologies, test design, and validation strategies.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in API and Mobile testing.

• Ability to design and implement test conditions, test scripts, and test datasets for robust coverage.

• Familiarity with distributed, service-oriented architectures.

• Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
