Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets from internal and external sources to support strategic business decisions and operational improvements.
- Collect, clean, process, and transform raw data into meaningful datasets suitable for statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, anomalies, correlations, and actionable business insights.
- Develop and apply statistical models, machine learning techniques, and analytical methodologies to solve business problems effectively.
- Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that help stakeholders understand performance metrics and analytical findings.
- Utilize SQL and related data tools to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets efficiently.
- Collaborate with teams across marketing, risk management, AML, digital banking, and business operations on data-driven projects.
- Support the implementation of business strategies by evaluating analytical outcomes and recommending data-backed solutions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and data governance practices within financial services operations.
- Document analytical processes, data requirements, methodologies, and project findings to maintain transparency and operational consistency.
- Participate in risk assessment activities and contribute to maintaining Citiβs operational integrity and data security standards.
- Continuously improve analytical workflows, reporting accuracy, and business intelligence processes through advanced data science techniques.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 1β6 years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, computational statistics, or quantitative business analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and data manipulation techniques for extracting, processing, and analyzing business data.
- Understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning concepts, and exploratory data analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and dashboarding platforms used for reporting and business intelligence purposes.
- Working experience in quantitative domains such as marketing analytics, financial analytics, AML, digital analytics, or risk analysis is advantageous.
- Ability to work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets within enterprise analytics environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability in collaborative matrix-based work environments.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, or related analytics technologies will be considered an added advantage.
- Knowledge of banking, financial services, compliance standards, and regulated enterprise environments is beneficial for this role.
