As a Software Engineer in the FileSystems and DataServices team, you will contribute to building cutting-edge solutions in distributed computing and clustered storage systems. Work with some of the smartest minds in the industry to reimagine and modernize the award-winning OneFS technology that powers Dell PowerScale systems — enabling storage and data services at exabyte scale.

🧠 Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance solutions for the OneFS distributed filesystem and associated data services.

• Innovate to meet performance, scalability, and GenAI-specific demands in next-gen storage systems.

• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that integrate seamlessly with modern container management, distributed architecture, and advanced storage workflows.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle — from requirements gathering to testing, debugging, and documentation.

• Ensure product quality and performance through optimized code, peer reviews, and real-world problem-solving.

🎓 Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• 2 to 8 years of experience in any of the following domains:

  • Distributed Systems

  • File Systems

  • Embedded Software

  • Operating Systems

• Proficiency in C programming for system-level software.

• Strong foundation in:

  • Data Structures & Algorithms

  • Memory Management, Multithreading, Parallel Programming

  • Concurrency Models, Design Patterns, Asynchronous Programming

• Development experience on UNIX/Linux/POSIX-based platforms.

• Familiarity with storage protocols and system architecture.

Desirable Skills:

• Analytical mindset with strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum-based teams.

• Passion for building products that impact the future of AI, data, and infrastructure.
