Virtusa is looking for a motivated and analytical professional to join its Data & Analytics team as an Analytical Associate in Hyderabad. This role is focused on using business data, analytics, emerging technologies, and visualization techniques to support strategic decision-making and business growth. The selected candidate will work with information related to sales pipelines, order books, revenue, resource allocation, project staffing, and other important business performance indicators. You will be responsible for collecting data from multiple sources, preparing and transforming datasets, performing statistical and predictive analysis, and converting complex information into meaningful business insights. The position also provides exposure to business development activities, technology consulting, client engagements, and the creation of technology-focused Proof-of-Concepts using areas such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Visualization.

As part of the role, you will collaborate with business development teams to understand client requirements and help shape technology solutions that address specific business challenges. Your contribution may include preparing technical sections of RFPs and RFQs, recommending appropriate technology stacks, developing high-level architectural diagrams, estimating development timelines, and proposing suitable team structures. You may also support commercial discussions through cost estimation, value proposition development, and other proposal-related activities. A strong interest in emerging technology will be important because the role involves evaluating modern Big Data, AI/ML, and visualization frameworks across open-source and cloud environments. You will also design, develop, and demonstrate Proof-of-Concept projects that showcase how emerging technologies can solve real-world client problems.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collect and consolidate business data from internal and external sources covering order books, sales pipelines, revenue, resource allocation, project staffing, and other performance indicators.
• Clean, transform, structure, and model datasets to improve data quality, consistency, reliability, and suitability for business analysis.
• Perform statistical and predictive analysis to identify important trends, patterns, performance gaps, risks, and potential business opportunities.
• Develop business reports, dashboards, presentations, and analytical summaries that provide senior management with clear visibility into periodic business performance.
• Translate complex analytical findings into practical insights and recommendations that can support strategic planning and business decision-making.
• Work closely with business development teams to understand client requirements and contribute to the development of tailored technology solutions.
• Support the preparation of RFPs and RFQs by contributing technical recommendations, technology-stack selections, solution architecture diagrams, delivery timelines, and proposed team structures.
• Contribute to proposal-related commercial activities, including preliminary cost estimates, discount considerations, and value proposition development.
• Track developments in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Visualization, open-source frameworks, and cloud-based technologies.
• Design, develop, and present technology-focused Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) that demonstrate the practical value of emerging technologies to prospective clients.
• Participate in client meetings alongside business development and consulting teams, providing technical explanations, answering questions, and demonstrating proposed technology capabilities.
• Support the early stages of new project implementations by helping with delivery-team onboarding, knowledge transfer, technical documentation, and project preparation.
• Contribute to organizational knowledge-sharing activities by documenting technical learnings, analytical approaches, emerging technology findings, and reusable best practices.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline is desirable.
• Strong interest in data analytics, business intelligence, emerging technologies, and technology-driven business transformation.
• Ability to gather information from multiple sources and convert raw data into structured and meaningful datasets.
• Understanding of fundamental data cleansing, transformation, modeling, statistical analysis, and predictive analytics concepts.
• Ability to analyze business performance metrics and identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.
• Familiarity with data visualization and dashboard development concepts for communicating analytical findings.
• Understanding of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and modern data platforms is valuable.
• Ability to understand client requirements and translate business needs into potential technology and analytics solutions.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, particularly the ability to explain technical or analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to contribute to technical proposals, RFPs, RFQs, solution outlines, architecture diagrams, and project planning activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business development, technical, delivery, and client-facing teams.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, frameworks, cloud platforms, and analytical techniques as business requirements evolve.
