Job Description:

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using modern tools such as ACCELQ, Selenium, RestAssured, and Java. You will work on both UI and API testing, ensuring end-to-end validation of applications. The role also involves integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous testing and faster delivery cycles. With exposure to cloud platforms and enterprise systems, you will contribute to scalable and efficient quality engineering processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and review automation frameworks using tools such as ACCELQ, Selenium, Java, and Cucumber, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Implement automation strategies for web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop and maintain automated regression suites, adapting to changing requirements and ensuring continuous validation of applications.
- Integrate automation testing into CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous testing and seamless deployment workflows.
- Perform API testing using tools like RestAssured, ensuring backend validation and system integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Conduct performance testing, analyze results, and optimize system performance where required.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, requirement analysis, and test strategy discussions.
- Identify risks, defects, and inefficiencies in the testing process, providing actionable insights to improve quality.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, guiding them in automation tools, frameworks, and best practices.
Requirements & Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a strong foundation in software testing and development concepts.
- 6–8 years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles, with hands-on expertise in enterprise-level testing frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming, along with Selenium and Cucumber for automation testing.
- Experience with ACCELQ automation platform and API testing using RestAssured.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies, enabling efficient project execution.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices, including integration of automation workflows.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing, including writing queries and validating data integrity.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or OpenShift, supporting scalable application testing.
- Familiarity with mobile automation tools like Appium and visual testing tools such as Applitools or Sauce Labs is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in collaborative environments.
Expected Salary:
For a Lead Quality Engineer with 6–8 years of experience in Chennai, the typical salary ranges between ₹14 LPA to ₹28 LPA, depending on expertise in automation frameworks, domain knowledge, and leadership capabilities.
