As a Software Engineer I, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design, develop, test, and deploy robust software components. Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software modules in alignment with business requirements and engineering standards.

2. Participate in coding, unit testing, debugging, and integration activities to ensure reliable and efficient application performance.

3. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and senior engineers to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.

4. Contribute to system architecture discussions and assist in improving application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

5. Conduct code reviews and implement feedback to maintain coding standards and enhance overall product quality.

6. Support testing teams in identifying and resolving defects, ensuring timely and stable product releases.

7. Work within Agile or Scrum frameworks, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.

8. Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data protection policies while developing and deploying applications.

9. Document technical designs, development processes, and deployment procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.

10. Continuously learn and adapt to emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to enterprise software development.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution.

2. Strong understanding of programming fundamentals in languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar object-oriented programming languages.

3. Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, and deployment methodologies.

4. Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, databases, and system integration concepts to support enterprise application development.

5. Basic understanding of cloud platforms, distributed systems, or enterprise software architecture is an added advantage.

6. Exposure to version control systems such as Git and collaboration tools used in modern development environments.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex technical issues efficiently.

8. Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment while managing priorities and meeting project deadlines.

10. Willingness to learn and grow within Honeywell’s diverse business segments including aerospace, automation, and energy solutions.
