Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for API and UI testing aligned with project needs.

• Implement API automation using Rest Assured to validate RESTful services, request-response flows, and error handling.

• Develop and maintain BDD test scenarios using Cucumber, ensuring clear alignment with business requirements.

• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps.

• Execute functional, regression, and smoke tests through automation to ensure consistent application quality.

• Troubleshoot automation failures, optimize scripts, and improve test execution performance and reliability.

• Validate backend data using SQL queries to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

• Maintain clear and up-to-date test documentation following quality engineering best practices.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute quality insights throughout the sprint lifecycle.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Strong programming skills in Java with hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks.

• Proven expertise in API automation using Rest Assured for validating REST-based services.

• Solid experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber for behavior-driven testing.

• Working knowledge of Selenium WebDriver for UI automation across web applications.

• Good understanding of HTTP/REST protocols, JSON/XML payloads, and web service architectures.

• Hands-on experience with SQL for backend data validation and test verification.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps for continuous testing.

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
