The role demands strong analytical thinking, automation expertise, and the ability to manage complex QA cycles across distributed systems, APIs, and microservices within a highly regulated financial environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

• Lead test case creation and execution across manual and automated testing frameworks to ensure complete coverage.

• Implement and maintain QA automation frameworks aligned with ShiftLeft and CI/CD methodologies.

• Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to integrate testing seamlessly into delivery pipelines.

• Manage defect lifecycle activities, including identification, prioritization, tracking, and resolution coordination.

• Conduct risk-based testing and impact analysis to focus quality efforts on business-critical areas.

• Establish and enforce QA standards, best practices, and quality metrics across projects.

• Perform API, integration, and microservices testing for Java-based enterprise applications.

• Provide regular reporting on quality status, test progress, and risk indicators to stakeholders.

• Support governance, compliance, and audit requirements through structured testing and documentation.

• Mentor team members and guide collaborative assignments to improve overall QA maturity.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance within enterprise-scale applications.

• Strong expertise in manual and automated testing methodologies, including regression and performance testing.

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Cucumber and similar technologies.

• Practical knowledge of ShiftLeft testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps-driven quality practices.

• Experience with API testing, integration testing, and microservices-based architectures.

• Familiarity with Java-based applications and backend system validation.

• Working knowledge of JIRA for defect tracking, test management, and agile collaboration.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risk and drive quality decisions.

• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively between technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; finance or lending domain exposure is highly desirable.

Expected Salary

For a senior QA Test Engineer with 8+ years of experience in the banking and financial services domain, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹18 LPA to ₹30 LPA in India. Compensation may vary based on location, depth of Loan IQ or wholesale lending expertise, and leadership responsibilities.
