Job Summary:

As an Application Support Engineer at Accenture, you will serve as a key member of a dynamic technical team that ensures the stability, reliability, and performance of critical business applications. Acting as a “software detective,” your role is to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across multiple systems and services.

You will collaborate closely with development, testing, and infrastructure teams to maintain seamless business operations. • Ensure timely resolution and minimal downtime for critical applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, testers, infrastructure engineers) to implement effective solutions.

• Assist in functional testing, test planning, and validation of software patches or releases.

• Document detailed troubleshooting steps, incident reports, and solutions for knowledge sharing.

• Monitor system health and proactively identify potential performance or stability risks.

• Participate in the deployment, configuration, and testing of updates or new software modules.

• Maintain detailed records of service requests and resolutions using issue-tracking tools.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation or process enhancement opportunities.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong understanding of Functional Test Planning concepts and methodologies.

• Proficiency in test case design, execution, and documentation.

• Hands-on experience with defect tracking and reporting tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, HP ALM).

• Ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend effective resolutions.

• Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing processes.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with test automation frameworks or tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting.

• Exposure to incident management tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.

• Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Additional Information:

• This role is open to fresh graduates and early professionals (0–2 years of experience).

• The position is based in Accenture’s Bengaluru delivery center.

• Candidates must have completed a minimum of 15 years of formal education (10+2+3).
