Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and develop embedded and cloud-edge software components that support Qualcomm’s next-generation technology products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems, hardware, and testing engineers, to define performance requirements and develop optimal software solutions.

• Analyze user needs and translate requirements into efficient, scalable, and high-performing software features.

• Implement and test new software features, perform unit testing, and assist with integration activities to ensure reliability and maintainability.

• Participate in debugging, regression testing, and code reviews, contributing to the overall improvement of software quality and performance.

• Utilize programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Python to build versatile software solutions for embedded systems.

• Work with APIs and databases, ensuring seamless communication and data management within complex software environments.

• Use source code management tools like Git or Perforce to maintain version control and code integrity.

• Document software designs, test cases, and technical findings to maintain clear communication across teams.

• Support senior engineers and technical leads, gaining hands-on experience in large-scale software projects.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 1+ year of programming experience in languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python, with a focus on application or embedded software development.

• Experience with database management systems and working with structured or unstructured data.

• Knowledge of API development and integration, including RESTful and other common interface standards.

• Proficiency in source control tools such as Git, Perforce, or similar systems for collaborative development.

• Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and version management.

• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow structured development processes.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration and documentation.

• Ability to work under supervision while demonstrating initiative and accountability.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices and iterative software delivery is an added advantage.

Expected Salary:

The typical salary range for an Associate Engineer at Qualcomm in Hyderabad is approximately ₹6 LPA to ₹10 LPA, depending on skills, experience, and academic background.
