This position sits within Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice, which focuses on helping organizations leverage automation, analytics, and cloud technologies to drive efficiency and innovation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation frameworks and quality assurance strategies that align with client goals and business outcomes.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the complete Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) — from test planning and scripting to execution, debugging, and reporting. Deloitte provides a dynamic environment where consultants are encouraged to innovate, experiment, and push the boundaries of what’s possible with automation. You’ll have the chance to work with advanced tools such as Selenium, Appium, Protractor, and Jenkins, and contribute to building resilient, scalable automation frameworks that elevate product quality and user experience across complex enterprise systems.
Beyond technical execution, this role emphasizes leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving. You’ll engage directly with clients to understand business challenges, design effective automation strategies, and guide project teams in adopting best practices. Deloitte’s inclusive culture, hybrid work model, and continuous learning ecosystem ensure that every consultant grows both professionally and personally — contributing not only to successful project delivery but also to the broader goal of making an impact that matters.
Roles & Responsibilities:
-
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium, Appium, Protractor, or other industry-standard tools.
-
Conduct comprehensive testing, including web, API, UI, regression, smoke, exploratory, and end-to-end testing, ensuring complete coverage of functional requirements.
-
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to identify automation opportunities and define effective testing strategies.
-
Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), providing technical input and ensuring quality assurance best practices are integrated early.
-
Create and execute detailed test plans, scripts, and cases, ensuring high levels of test accuracy and defect traceability.
-
Analyze test failures, debug scripts, and propose corrective actions to improve automation reliability and performance.
-
Implement continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools to streamline test execution and reporting.
-
Work within Agile/Scrum environments, contributing to sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives to enhance product delivery velocity.
-
Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to junior testers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
-
Engage in client discussions, demonstrating strong communication and consulting skills to ensure stakeholder alignment.
Requirements & Eligibility:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
-
Proven hands-on experience in automation testing tools like Selenium, Appium, Protractor, and experience with frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
-
Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for scripting and test automation development.
-
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design principles, and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
-
Experience working in Agile environments, understanding sprint-based testing cycles and collaboration models.
-
Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and integration practices.
-
Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate issues, interpret results, and make data-driven recommendations.
-
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
-
Certifications such as ISTQB, CSM, or Automation Testing Specialist are preferred and add value to your application.
-
A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a passion for continuous learning and technology innovation.
