We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Automation Testing (C#) to join our System Verification & Validation team in Bengaluru. This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and enhance automated testing frameworks that directly impact the performance and reliability of diagnostic systems used by millions of clinicians worldwide.
As part of the India Development Center, you will work on the Total Lab Automation product, contributing to the development of state-of-the-art diagnostic solutions. Your expertise in automation testing and C# programming will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, stability, and scalability of our software systems. Collaborating closely with system engineers, QA specialists, and product owners, you’ll develop robust automated tests that help accelerate innovation and uphold the highest standards of regulatory compliance in medical device software.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using C# to validate the functionality and performance of diagnostic software systems.
• Implement automation strategies that improve test coverage and ensure efficient verification of software features and system integrations.
• Enhance and stabilize existing automation pipelines to improve reliability, speed, and maintainability of automated testing cycles.
• Work with Selenium, Appium, WinAppDriver, and SpecFlow (BDD) to automate testing across multiple layers, including UI and backend systems.
• Collaborate with developers, verification engineers, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and traceability for all product requirements.
• Investigate and debug issues through step-by-step analysis, log examination, and root cause identification, driving timely resolution.
• Continuously review and improve the in-house automation framework, aligning it with the latest industry practices and tools.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and defect reports in accordance with medical device compliance standards.
• Participate actively in agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Engage in continuous learning and skill development to adapt to evolving tools, technologies, and standards in automation testing.
Requirements & Eligibility:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
• Proven experience developing test automation using C# and strong command of object-oriented programming principles (OOPS).
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, WinAppDriver, and SpecFlow (BDD framework).
• Solid understanding of API testing, including validation of RESTful and SOAP-based services.
• Strong analytical and debugging mindset with the ability to isolate and resolve complex software issues effectively.
• Familiarity with software testing in regulated environments, especially within the medical device domain.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution and result tracking.
• (Preferred) Certification in ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent software testing qualification.
• (Preferred) Understanding of medical device quality standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within cross-functional, international teams.
Expected Salary:
Based on current industry data for automation testing roles in Bengaluru, professionals in this position can expect an annual compensation between ₹14 LPA and ₹24 LPA, depending on expertise, experience, and domain exposure.
