Job Description:

S&P Global is seeking a Quality Engineer skilled in Selenium and Python to join its dynamic Quality Engineering team in Hyderabad. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks that drive the quality and reliability of high-impact software products. As part of a globally distributed Agile team, you’ll work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure seamless delivery of innovative solutions that power global financial markets.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Python, ensuring reusability and reliability.

• Design and execute automation test cases across UI, API, and database layers, adhering to best practices and coding standards.

• Build and manage automated regression suites that support faster release cycles and improve test efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to define automation requirements and ensure seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.

• Perform API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured and validate system interactions for performance and reliability.

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups, serving as a key advocate for quality within the team.

• Create, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data, ensuring full coverage of business requirements.

• Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and work with developers to ensure timely resolutions.

• Contribute to defining QA metrics, reporting frameworks, and test dashboards for transparency in release quality.

• Actively mentor peers in automation techniques and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• 3–5 years of experience in software testing or development, with strong understanding of QA methodologies and debugging techniques.

• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Python for building scalable test automation frameworks.

• Proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL and ability to write complex queries for validating backend data and database transactions.

• Exposure to SOAP and REST API testing, with working knowledge of SOA architecture and web service validation.

• Familiarity with BDD frameworks (such as Cucumber or Behave) and Agile/Scrum methodologies for collaborative development.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience integrating automation tests in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify performance bottlenecks and propose efficient testing solutions.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain complex issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline is preferred.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with a continuous learning mindset and a passion for quality engineering.

Expected Salary:

The expected salary for a Quality Engineer (Selenium + Python) at S&P Global in Hyderabad typically ranges from ₹9 LPA to ₹15 LPA, depending on experience, technical expertise, and automation depth.
