As a Website Design Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience working with Drupal CMS, managing website content, designing visually engaging assets, and supporting SEO initiatives. You’ll learn how to balance creativity with technical precision while ensuring that every webpage aligns with brand consistency and user experience best practices. Your contributions will directly impact how Fortrea presents its research, insights, and global presence online.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and deliver digital assets for web use, such as banners, hero images, landing page graphics, and promotional visuals.

• Assist in UI enhancements by refining layout spacing, alignment, and visual hierarchy to improve user experience.

• Manage day-to-day content updates on the company’s Drupal-based website, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

• Upload and format blogs, insights, whitepapers, and event pages while maintaining Fortrea’s brand identity.

• Add SEO-related elements such as metadata, OG tags, alt tags, and internal links to improve search engine visibility.

• Support the SEO team by implementing recommendations related to title tags, headers, and keyword optimization.

• Use Drupal’s component-based structure (paragraphs, blocks, layout builder) to create and update page layouts.

• Conduct cross-browser and device testing before publishing content to ensure optimal responsiveness.

• Collaborate with marketing and content teams to execute digital campaigns and website updates efficiently.

• Maintain a proactive approach toward identifying UI/UX improvements and contribute fresh design ideas to enhance site engagement.

Requirements & Eligibility

• 0–1 year of hands-on experience with Drupal (preferred) or WordPress CMS for website management and content editing.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Web Design, Computer Science, Communication, or Digital Media.

• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS for editing and troubleshooting web content.

• Experience with Figma or Adobe XD for creating web design mockups and prototypes.

• Strong design sense with attention to visual balance, typography, and layout consistency.

• Understanding of SEO-friendly design principles and web accessibility guidelines.

• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Collaborative attitude and effective communication skills to work with designers, marketers, and developers.

• Curiosity to learn new digital tools and technologies used in modern web development workflows.
