Schneider Electric is looking for a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer to join its fast-growing technical team in Gurugram and Bangalore. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and executing test plans that guarantee the reliability, security, and performance of Schneider Electric’s enterprise-grade applications.

In this role, you will be involved in end-to-end quality assurance, from planning and test case design to execution, defect tracking, and reporting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and architects, to ensure seamless integration of quality into every phase of the development lifecycle. Your ability to mentor junior QA engineers and advocate for QA best practices will make a direct impact on improving delivery efficiency and product quality across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies covering all functional, performance, and security aspects of the product.

• Prepare test environments, identify data requirements, and ensure readiness for smooth test execution.

• Perform manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, user experience, and system performance.

• Create, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and TestComplete.

• Execute regression testing cycles to ensure stability and reliability across product releases.

• Conduct performance and load testing using JMeter or LoadRunner to identify potential bottlenecks and optimize application scalability.

• Perform security testing, identify vulnerabilities, and collaborate with security teams to mitigate risks.

• Log, track, and prioritize defects in Jira while collaborating with development teams for timely resolution.

• Mentor junior QA engineers by reviewing their test cases, providing feedback, and encouraging best QA practices.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to risk analysis, and drive continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with a strong background in test automation and performance testing.

• Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Cucumber, and TestComplete.

• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, Agile/SAFe frameworks, and defect management practices.

• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman and exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.

• Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner, along with experience in analyzing and reporting performance metrics.

• Good understanding of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting for test automation.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with a sharp eye for detail.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• QA certifications such as ISTQB, CQE, or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).

Expected Salary:

The salary for a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer at Schneider Electric in India typically ranges between ₹12 LPA to ₹20 LPA, depending on experience, expertise in automation, and performance testing skills. Candidates with advanced automation and CI/CD experience can expect compensation towards the higher end of the range, along with additional benefits offered by Schneider Electric.
