Qualitest Group – Sr. Lead Automation QA

About the Role

Qualitest Group is looking for an experienced Sr. Lead Automation QA to lead automation efforts for Workday platform initiatives. This is a leadership role that combines technical hands-on automation expertise with strategic test planning and mentoring responsibilities. You will work closely with product teams, developers, DevSecOps engineers, and business stakeholders to drive end-to-end test automation, ensuring quality, reliability, and faster time-to-market for critical enterprise applications.

Your responsibilities will focus on functional and E2E automation, performance testing, and CI/CD integration. You will be expected to deliver in-sprint automation scripts, mentor QA engineers, and oversee the creation of robust test frameworks that support large-scale testing across modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable functional and end-to-end test automation scripts for the Workday platform using Selenium, Playwright, or Tosca.

• In-Sprint Automation: Implement and deliver in-sprint automation for faster validation, consistently delivering automation scripts (Target: 22 scripts per month).

• Test Strategy & Leadership: Lead comprehensive test planning and execution across functional, regression, UAT, and performance testing phases.

• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to QA engineers, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot automation issues, and drive best practices.

• Integration Testing: Perform API, SSO, and integration testing using tools like Postman, leveraging OAuth, JSON, XML-based workflows.

• Collaboration: Work closely with DevSecOps to integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

• Cloud Testing: Leverage AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS) to optimize test execution environments.

• Version Control & Reporting: Use Git for source code management, generate detailed test execution reports, and track progress in alignment with sprint goals.

• Performance Testing: Lead performance and load testing initiatives, ensuring system stability under production-like conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

✅ Experience: 9+ years in Software Quality Engineering with 5+ years leading automation efforts for enterprise platforms.
✅ Workday Expertise: Strong experience with Workday platform automation (4/5).
✅ Automation Tools: Proficiency in Tosca (4/5), Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
✅ In-Sprint Delivery: Proven ability to deliver automation scripts within sprint cycles.
✅ Testing Skills: Hands-on expertise in functional, regression, E2E, and UAT testing.
✅ Leadership Skills: Experience mentoring QA teams, conducting code reviews, and troubleshooting complex automation challenges.
✅ Performance Testing: Experience with tools and techniques for performance/load testing (3/5).

Preferred Qualifications

🎓 Certifications: ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst (or higher), Workday-related certifications, or automation tool certifications.
🔗 API Testing Skills: Proficiency with OAuth, SSO, REST APIs, Postman, JSON, and XML.
📂 Version Control: Strong knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipeline integration.
☁ Cloud Experience: 2+ years of AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) experience and exposure to cloud-based testing frameworks.
🛠 Automation Frameworks: Experience with Tosca, Playwright, Selenium, and Cypress for building reusable test components.

Expected Salary (India Market)

💰 Salary Range: ₹18 – ₹28 LPA
(Salary may vary based on Workday expertise, Tosca proficiency, and leadership experience.)
