Job Description

Stripe is seeking motivated and ambitious New Graduate Software Engineers to join its innovative Bengaluru team. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex software projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions.

  • Provide technical feedback on code reviews and system designs, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Ensure that software systems operate reliably and can scale effectively to meet user demands.

  • Take ownership of projects, learning project management and technical leadership skills along the way.

  • Build, test, and maintain robust, production-ready code using modern programming languages and frameworks.

  • Learn and adapt to new systems and technologies, conducting research and seeking mentorship as needed.

  • Contribute to open-source initiatives and internal projects, helping improve tools and processes.

  • Develop an understanding of large codebases and system architecture, while implementing clean and maintainable code.

  • Participate in discussions about software design, technical trade-offs, and operational best practices.

  • Demonstrate a growth mindset, initiative, and problem-solving skills, contributing to team success.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field, completed by summer 2026, or equivalent work experience.

  • Familiarity with programming through classwork, side projects, or internships, preferably in languages like Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, or Go.

  • Experience working collaboratively on multi-person coding projects, either academically or professionally.

  • Ability to learn unfamiliar systems, research solutions, and integrate new knowledge into software development.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Awareness of code review practices, software testing, and production system updates.

  • Understanding of frontend or backend development, and the ability to learn full-stack concepts as needed.

  • Willingness to work in-office for at least 50% of the time, collaborating closely with team members and users.

  • Passion for innovation, technology, and contributing to impactful software solutions.

  • Strong sense of rigor, discipline, and reliability in engineering practices, with a focus on delivering quality software.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for a Software Engineering New Grad at Stripe India typically ranges from ₹15 LPA to ₹25 LPA, depending on education, internships, and prior experience.
