Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough visual QA testing during development and pre-release phases to ensure UI elements are fully aligned with design specifications.

• Compare actual UI screens with expected mockups, identifying pixel-level discrepancies and documenting them clearly for resolution.

• Test dynamic content, including animations, image carousels, and pop-ups, across multiple browsers and devices to ensure flawless performance.

• Perform cross-platform testing on both web and mobile applications to verify responsiveness and design consistency.

• Create detailed bug reports with reproduction steps, screenshots, and severity levels to assist development teams in quick issue resolution.

• Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders to maintain a smooth defect resolution process.

• Track defects using tools like Jira or Bugzilla, ensuring proper follow-up and closure of identified issues.

• Stay updated with the latest QA tools, techniques, and best practices to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

• Participate in sprint planning and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.

• Ensure all deliverables adhere to high-quality standards, supporting the company’s commitment to excellence in digital transformation.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in visual QA, preferably in a web and mobile development environment.

• Proficiency in visual QA tools such as Applitools, Zeplin, or similar platforms for both manual and automated testing.

• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to identify inconsistencies in design implementation.

• Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or equivalent, and familiarity with agile development workflows.

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to understand front-end issues and communicate effectively with developers.

• Ability to test complex dynamic elements, animations, and transitions with a sharp eye for detail.

• Excellent written communication skills for preparing precise and actionable bug reports.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and suggest improvements.

• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Expected Salary

For a contractual QA Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in Pune, the expected salary range typically falls between ₹5.5 LPA to ₹8.5 LPA depending on skills, tools expertise, and project experience. Exceptional candidates with niche experience in visual QA tools may receive a slightly higher package. Compensation is usually project-based with additional allowances for hybrid work arrangements.
