Job Description:
Siemens is looking for a highly skilled Mid/Senior Software Test Engineer with a specialization in AI modules to join its world-class Research & Development team. In this position, you will design and implement robust test strategies for AI modules, covering functional, regression, and performance testing. Your work will involve deep collaboration with developers and data scientists to understand AI algorithms and ensure they meet business and technical requirements. You will also develop automated test suites, evaluate model performance using industry-standard metrics, and play an active role in shaping Siemens’ AI testing practices.

This is a senior-level, high-impact position offering autonomy, responsibility, and the chance to lead technically on multiple projects. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, document, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for AI modules and systems.

• Collaborate with developers and data scientists to understand AI algorithms, workflows, and implementation details.

• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure AI models deliver accurate and reliable results.

• Develop automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

• Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and revalidation of fixes.

• Evaluate AI models using metrics such as BLEU, ROUGE, METEOR, BERTScore, and COMET to assess quality.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for AI testing.

• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and continuous integration efforts.

• Provide technical leadership on test strategy and mentor junior engineers where necessary.

• Prepare comprehensive test reports, communicate findings to stakeholders, and support release readiness.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5–10 years of professional experience in software testing, with a strong focus on AI and machine learning modules.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java for test automation and scripting.

• Experience with testing frameworks and tools like Selenium, BDD Cucumber, or similar.

• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.

• Experience in testing advanced AI workflows such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, Agentic AI, and Model Context Protocol is a plus.

• Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and industry-standard evaluation metrics for AI models.

• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for deployment and testing.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in global, cross-functional teams.

• Professional certifications in software testing (ISTQB) or AI/ML are advantageous.

Expected Salary:
Mid/Senior Software Test Engineers in AI-focused roles at Siemens typically earn between ₹12 LPA and ₹22 LPA in Pune, depending on experience, technical expertise, and leadership responsibilities. Candidates with advanced knowledge of AI model evaluation and automation frameworks may earn at the higher end of this range.
