KONE: Cloud Automation Architect

Job Description:
As a Cloud Automation Architect at KONE, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of smart and connected building solutions. This role is focused on designing and implementing scalable automation solutions that leverage cutting-edge cloud technologies. You will be responsible for building enterprise-grade architecture that integrates cloud infrastructure, APIs, UI dashboards, and data visualization layers to create seamless, automated solutions. Your work will directly contribute to KONE’s mission of transforming the way billions of people move safely and efficiently within urban environments.

In this position, you will lead automation initiatives across infrastructure, applications, and data pipelines. This includes developing end-to-end architecture, enabling automation-first solutions, and collaborating with developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams. By integrating automation with ML Ops pipelines, you will empower data-driven decision-making and support KONE’s vision of intelligent, sustainable, and customer-centric services.

You will also act as a mentor and thought leader within the engineering organization. From driving proof-of-concept projects to setting cloud-native best practices, your technical expertise will ensure the delivery of robust, cost-efficient, and secure automation solutions. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Architect and design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud automation solutions for enterprise use cases.

• Define end-to-end architecture covering cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, APIs, and visualization frameworks.

• Lead automation initiatives across infrastructure, applications, and data workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.

• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical architecture.

• Design and guide implementation of APIs, microservices, and UI dashboards using modern frameworks such as React or Angular.

• Develop and optimize ML Ops pipelines using AWS services like SageMaker, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, and Redshift.

• Establish best practices for CI/CD, model versioning, monitoring, and reproducibility in ML workflows.

• Mentor engineering teams in cloud-native automation, security compliance, and DevOps best practices.

• Conduct proof-of-concepts and drive innovation initiatives to explore new technologies and automation approaches.

• Ensure solutions adhere to security, performance, and cost optimization standards.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• 8–10 years of proven experience in cloud architecture, automation, and solution design in large-scale environments.

• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS Cloud services for compute, storage, networking, and data analytics.

• Proficiency in Python for automation workflows, including infrastructure orchestration and ML Ops tasks.

• Experience in data engineering and visualization using tools such as Amazon QuickSight or Power BI.

• Solid knowledge of UI frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) to support dashboard and portal development.

• Deep understanding of IAM, cloud security, compliance, and governance principles.

• Practical experience designing and deploying ML Ops pipelines for model training, deployment, and monitoring.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and serverless architectures.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.

• Strong communication and leadership skills to mentor teams and align solutions with business objectives.

Expected Salary:
Cloud Automation Architects in India typically earn between ₹28 LPA and ₹45 LPA, depending on experience, skills, and expertise with cloud-native solutions. Senior candidates with advanced ML Ops and automation experience may command compensation at the higher end of this range, reflecting the complexity and impact of the role.
