Job Description:
As a QA Engineer – Automation, AS at Deutsche Bank, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing advanced test automation frameworks that ensure the highest quality standards for applications across multiple domains. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of systems under test. You will be expected to champion best practices in automation and performance testing, ensuring the team stays aligned with industry-leading QA methodologies. You will also take ownership of program-level testing activities, oversee UAT planning, and drive process improvements across the testing lifecycle. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks to support end-to-end testing for critical banking applications.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements, define test strategies, and ensure coverage for functional, non-functional, and performance testing.

  • Lead execution of automation scripts, monitor results, and report defects with clear documentation for development teams.

  • Oversee UAT activities, coordinate with business users, and ensure smooth validation cycles before production releases.

  • Continuously improve testing processes by identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and optimization across projects.

  • Ensure compliance with internal quality frameworks and industry best practices for test management and reporting.

  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior testers, helping them develop their automation and performance testing skills.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global locations to deliver high-quality releases within agreed timelines.

  • Perform risk analysis, track test coverage, and ensure early detection of issues to minimize production incidents.

  • Prepare detailed test summary reports, communicate results to leadership, and suggest improvements for future releases.

Requirements & Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; professional testing certifications like ISTQB, CSTE, or Six Sigma are a plus.

  • 4–8 years of experience in test automation, performance testing, and QA leadership roles.

  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks; ability to create reusable scripts and harnesses.

  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect management tools such as HP ALM and Jira.

  • Proficiency in Python, Spark, Hive, and GCP BigQuery for test data management and automation scripting.

  • Familiarity with SAS Mainframe and cloud-based testing environments is an added advantage.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to work with global teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive testing deliverables independently.

  • Excellent communication skills to document processes, present test results, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to influence teams, promote QA best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
