Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Senior Tester with 8–12 years of strong expertise in test automation for enterprise-grade applications. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality software, building scalable test frameworks, and mentoring junior team members. You will lead automation initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive a culture of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites across multiple platforms (UI, API, backend), integrating them into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring robust regression coverage. You will participate in sprint planning, understand business requirements, write comprehensive test cases, and proactively identify potential gaps before releases go live. This role requires not just technical skills but also the ability to influence QA best practices, optimize processes, and improve test coverage to meet the organization’s quality goals.
As a senior member of the QA team, you will also contribute to strategic initiatives such as tool selection, framework enhancements, and metrics reporting. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless collaboration and faster delivery cycles without compromising software reliability. Your work will have a direct impact on end-user experience and business outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web, API, and backend systems.

Develop robust, reusable, and data-driven automated test scripts to maximize coverage and reduce manual effort.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster feedback cycles.

Lead test automation planning for sprints, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables.

Perform root-cause analysis for defects, collaborate with developers for quick resolution, and track defect trends.

Review test cases and automation scripts created by junior testers, providing mentorship and feedback.

Establish, monitor, and report quality metrics (defect leakage, test pass rates, automation coverage).

Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize test execution environments and parallelize test runs.

Contribute to test strategy documents, QA process improvements, and adoption of new tools/technologies.

Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and coding standards during test automation development.
Requirements & Eligibility:

Experience: 8–12 years in QA, with at least 5 years focused on automation testing in enterprise-scale applications.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent. Experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.

Programming Knowledge: Strong hands-on experience in Java, Python, or C# for building automation frameworks.

CI/CD Experience: Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps for pipeline integration.

Test Frameworks: Experience with TestNG, JUnit, or other industry-standard test frameworks.

Agile Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum processes, with proven experience participating in sprint ceremonies.

Database Skills: Good knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills with ability to influence stakeholders.

Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset and ability to troubleshoot complex automation and environment issues.

Preferred Certifications: ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent QA/automation certifications are a plus.
Expected Salary:
For a Senior QA Automation Tester in Pune with 8–12 years of experience, the typical salary range is ₹15,00,000 to ₹25,00,000 per annum. Compensation may go higher for candidates with proven expertise in advanced automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and team leadership.
