Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation scripts: Build scalable and reusable automation frameworks for REST APIs, microservices, and UI components using Python and Selenium.

• Implement BDD frameworks: Create behavior-driven tests using tools like Behave or Cucumber to ensure clear and maintainable test coverage.

• Integrate with CI/CD pipelines: Work with Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools to integrate automation suites into deployment pipelines for faster releases.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Partner with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to define testing requirements and improve software quality.

• Microservices and Kafka testing: Validate event-driven architectures and ensure robust message bus communication across distributed systems.

• Cloud environment validation: Work with AWS services such as S3, EC2, IAM, and SES for test data management and infrastructure readiness checks.

• Version control management: Use Git-based repositories (GitHub, Bitbucket) to maintain, review, and manage automation codebases.

• Troubleshoot and optimize tests: Debug flaky tests, improve test stability, and enhance framework efficiency.

• Document testing processes: Maintain detailed test plans, strategies, and execution reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Mentor junior team members: Provide technical guidance, promote automation best practices, and contribute to overall QA process improvement.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Experience: 6–10 years in automation testing, with strong exposure to Python-based scripting and automation frameworks.

• Technical skills: Hands-on expertise in REST API automation, BDD frameworks (Behave, Cucumber), and Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.

• DevOps knowledge: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI for seamless test execution.

• Cloud skills: Knowledge of AWS services (S3, EC2, IAM, SES) for testing and validation in cloud environments.

• Version control: Strong experience using Git repositories, branching strategies, and code review processes.

• Microservices testing: Understanding of Kafka bus and event-driven architecture testing for distributed systems.

• Domain expertise: Experience in Unified Communications or Telecom domain is a plus.

• Soft skills: Strong problem-solving mindset, ability to work independently and collaboratively, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.

• Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is desirable but not mandatory.
