Job Description:
The Test Consultant – Automation Testing role at ZS is a critical position within the Technology and Testing & QA practice. As a Test Consultant, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing testing efforts across multiple projects and releases. You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to define testing strategies, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations. This role allows you to influence the testing approach by defining key processes, metrics, and best practices while deploying automation frameworks tailored to project requirements.

ZS emphasizes the integration of advanced technologies in testing. In this role, you will work with tools and platforms like Selenium, RPA, AIML, Spark, Databricks, Redshift, and cloud services like Azure and GCP to enhance test automation and efficiency. You will be expected to develop comprehensive test plans, translate them into actionable test cases, and ensure the seamless execution of the testing lifecycle. Your expertise will directly contribute to the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of ZS technology solutions.

Beyond technical execution, the role also requires mentoring and training team members, supporting business development initiatives, and contributing to process and product improvements. Travel to client sites in the US may be required to provide technology expertise and ensure the delivery of world-class solutions. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Plan, deploy, and manage testing efforts for multiple engagements and releases, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and project managers to define testing strategies and best practices.

3. Implement and maintain automation frameworks for projects, leveraging tools like Selenium, RPA, AIML, and cloud-based platforms.

4. Define key test processes, metrics, KPIs, and deliverables to standardize quality assurance across projects.

5. Conduct end-to-end testing of ETL processes, data warehouses, and reporting systems to ensure data integrity and functionality.

6. Mentor, coach, and train team members on data modeling, automation tools, and validated systems, enhancing overall team capability.

7. Identify areas for process improvement, lead product quality initiatives, and implement innovative solutions to enhance testing efficiency.

8. Manage testing on validated systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards where applicable.

9. Support business development by providing domain expertise, creating proposals, and participating in client presentations.

10. Monitor application behavior and system interactions to detect defects, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.

11. Prepare comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports aligned with company standards.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with a minimum of 60% marks throughout education.

2. 7-9 years of hands-on experience in software testing, preferably within the business intelligence domain.

3. Strong expertise in end-to-end testing of ETL processes and data warehouse systems.

4. Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Redshift, Azure, Informatica Cloud, GCP, and Athena.

5. Proficiency in automation testing tools including Selenium (Java/Python), Selenium IDE, TestProject.IO, Python scripting, and shell scripting.

6. Knowledge of DevOps/CICD pipelines, Jenkins, reporting, and web-based application testing is an added advantage.

7. Strong SQL skills to create expected results, troubleshoot data issues, and support testing processes.

8. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal forms.

9. Experience with validated systems, data modeling, and quality assurance processes is desirable.

10. Ability to mentor, train, and grow a team while supporting business objectives and client engagements.

Expected Salary:
In India, the expected salary for a Test Consultant – Automation Testing at ZS ranges between ₹15,00,000 to ₹25,00,000 per annum, depending on experience and skill set. Globally, comparable roles may offer $70,000 to $110,000 per year, factoring in expertise in automation testing, cloud technologies, and Big Data platforms.
