Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust automated test solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of EPAM’s software products. Leveraging your expertise in Python, Selenium, Pytest, and REST API testing, you will help create scalable automation frameworks that enhance efficiency and test coverage across complex software systems. As a Senior Python Automation Engineer, you will collaborate closely with developers, QA professionals, and product stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into effective automated tests. You will analyze software behavior, identify defects, and recommend solutions while maintaining thorough documentation of test plans, cases, and results. Your work will include utilizing BDD frameworks like Pytest, integrating automation into Agile workflows, and working with APIs and SOA architecture to ensure seamless testing across web and backend systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain advanced automated testing solutions using Python and Selenium.

Develop comprehensive test cases, test plans, and automation scripts to validate software functionalities.

Utilize BDD frameworks, specifically Pytest, to enhance testing efficiency and reporting.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure thorough understanding of system requirements and functionalities.

Perform API testing using REST and SOAP services, integrating into automated test suites.

Analyze, troubleshoot, and document test results, identifying defects and areas for improvement.

Maintain clear and accurate test documentation, including checklists and detailed test records.

Work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in stand-ups, retrospectives, and iterative planning.

Continuously update technical knowledge on automation tools, frameworks, and testing best practices.

Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of automation frameworks for long-term project success.
Requirements & Eligibility:

5–9 years of experience in software testing, with significant focus on automation using Python.

Proficiency in Python, Pytest, and Selenium for automation testing of web and backend applications.

Strong foundation in software testing principles, coding, debugging, and QA best practices.

Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and SQL for validating backend data.

Competency in SFTP, Shell scripting, and working within SOA architecture.

Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to design formal test cases and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum ceremonies, iterative development, and backlog management.

Excellent command of written and spoken English for effective collaboration and reporting.

Nice to have: Experience with REST Assured, API testing, and handling large datasets in test environments.
Expected Salary:
For a Senior Python Automation Engineer in Pune, India, with 5–9 years of experience, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹12,00,000 and ₹20,00,000 per annum. Candidates with strong automation frameworks experience and advanced API testing skills may receive higher compensation.
