Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineering teams to design, build, and test applications that support Cargill’s digital and data initiatives.

• Contribute to the development of scalable solutions in areas like cloud platforms, big data, and enterprise applications.

• Work on assigned projects either independently or as part of a team, applying problem-solving skills and coding expertise.

• Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and testing cycles to ensure quality standards are met.

• Assist in analyzing system requirements, designing technical solutions, and documenting processes for future improvements.

• Gain exposure to agile development practices by working in cross-functional teams on iterative software projects.

• Support innovation projects by contributing fresh ideas, performing research, and testing new tools or technologies.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields such as AI, ML, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology.

• Eligible candidates should be graduating in June 2026 and must provide institutional approval for a 5–6 month internship.

• Strong foundation in structured programming, systems analysis, database design, and business concepts is essential.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, big data technologies, or application development is an advantage.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems.

• Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in diverse teams.

• Flexibility to work onsite multiple days a week at Cargill’s Bengaluru Capability Center.

• High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and resourcefulness to complete tasks with minimal guidance.

• Previous internship or project experience in software engineering, agile development, or product development is a plus.

• Commitment to continuous learning and openness to feedback for professional growth.

Expected Salary

The Software Engineer Internship at Cargill offers a monthly stipend that is competitive within the Bengaluru market for technology internships. Based on industry data, stipends typically range between ₹25,000 to ₹40,000 per month, depending on candidate skills and institutional policies.
