Job Description

Amazon’s Retail Business Services (RBS) team is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to support worldwide retail operations. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement strategies that enhance process efficiency. As part of a global organization, you will contribute to selection expansion, defect elimination, and operational excellence across retail processes.

This position demands strong problem-solving abilities, proficiency in data analytics, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for uncovering insights, creating detailed business requirement documents, and driving data-based decision-making. Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

• Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.

• Develop and maintain business requirement documents (BRDs).

• Perform root cause analysis to identify process gaps and recommend solutions.

• Build dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support decision-making.

• Conduct trend and pattern analysis to provide actionable insights.

• Partner with product owners to deliver scalable reporting solutions.

• Ensure data quality and integrity across multiple systems.

• Support automation initiatives leveraging machine learning and analytics.

• Work in agile environments, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Minimum 4+ years in tax, finance, or related analytical fields.

• At least 3+ years of experience in business or financial analysis.

• Proven ability to create BRDs, define requirements, and interpret business processes.

• Strong expertise in SQL, ETL pipelines, and advanced Excel functions (VBA, pivot tables, power pivots).

• Hands-on experience with visualization tools such as Tableau.

• Strong analytical and communication skills with stakeholder management experience.

• Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous, and innovation-driven environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics.

• Experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles.

• Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling.

• Coding skills in Python, Ruby, or Java.

• High attention to detail and ability to balance competing priorities.

• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Expected Salary
