Job Description

Amazon’s Retail Business Services (RBS) team is seeking a Business Analyst with strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. RBS supports Amazon’s global retail business through Selection, Defect Elimination, and Operational Excellence, leveraging automation, data insights, and Machine Learning to enhance customer experience.

As a Business Analyst, you will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will gather requirements, analyze data, build reports, and develop scalable data solutions to improve retail processes. Your work will involve identifying root causes of supply chain issues, designing dashboards, and enabling leaders to make data-driven decisions. Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and translate requirements into functional specifications.

• Conduct root cause analysis, identify trends/patterns, and provide actionable insights.

• Create and maintain business requirement documents (BRD) for process improvements and reporting needs.

• Design dashboards and visualizations to help product owners and leaders answer key business questions.

• Build reports and data solutions that improve decision-making and operational efficiency.

• Partner with cross-functional teams (retail, operations, tech) to support high-impact business initiatives.

• Utilize SQL, ETL, and Excel to extract, clean, and manipulate data.

• Deliver presentations and insights to senior leadership, influencing business outcomes.

• Continuously improve processes through automation, data governance, and advanced analytics.

• Support large-scale, complex projects with measurable business impact.

Requirements & Eligibility

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in tax, finance, or related analytical fields.

• At least 3+ years of experience in business/financial analysis.

• Strong experience in requirement gathering, BRD creation, and process understanding.

• Expertise in SQL, ETL processes, and Excel (VBA, pivot tables, arrays, power pivots).

• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).

• Ability to make business recommendations and influence stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.

• Experience as a Data Engineer or Business Intelligence Engineer in a tech-driven company.

• Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.

• Proficiency in programming (Python, Java, Ruby, or similar).

• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, innovative environments.

• History of teamwork and willingness to roll up sleeves to deliver results.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for a Business Analyst – RBS at Amazon in Bengaluru typically ranges from ₹10,00,000 to ₹18,00,000 per annum, depending on experience, technical expertise, and scope of responsibilities.
