Job Overview:

As a Sr. Python QA – Senior Software Engineer at Virtusa, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the quality and reliability of Virtusa’s software applications. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, encompassing both manual and automated testing, to validate software functionalities across various platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning & Strategy: Develop detailed test plans and strategies for software applications, covering functional, non-functional, and performance testing aspects.

2. Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Robot Framework.

3. Manual Testing: Perform manual testing to identify defects and ensure the application meets business requirements.

4. Cross-Platform Testing: Validate software applications across various platforms and devices to ensure consistent user experiences.

5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects.

6. Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution.

7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Experience: 5+ years of experience in automation QA, with a focus on Python and Robot Framework.

2. Technical Skills:

   • Proficiency in Python and Robot Framework for test automation.

   • Experience with automation testing tools like Selenium or UFT.

   • Mainframe automation experience using tools like REXX, CA Automate, or equivalent.

3. Domain Knowledge:

   • Knowledge of payment processing, credit/debit card transactions, and batch job processing.

4. Testing Skills:

   • Strong understanding of test planning, test case creation, and test execution.

   • Experience in both functional and non-functional testing.

   • Knowledge of defect tracking and resolution processes.

5. Collaboration Skills:

   • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and improve product quality.

   • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts.

6. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
