Citi: Testing Intermediate Analyst

Job Description:

As a Testing Intermediate Analyst at Citi Pune, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of financial applications. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts, focusing on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and product rollouts into production. Collaborating closely with technology project managers, UAT professionals, and end-users, you will ensure that systems and applications meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.

This role offers an opportunity to work on complex testing assignments, identify defects, perform root cause analyses, and implement process improvements to enhance testing strategies. Your contributions will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and performance of Citi's financial systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for application testing strategies, ensuring alignment with business and functional requirements.

2. Test Execution: Execute test scripts according to application requirements documentation, identifying defects and recommending appropriate courses of action.

3. Defect Management: Perform root cause analyses of identified defects and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

4. Coordination: Coordinate multiple testers and testing activities within a project, ensuring efficient and effective testing processes.

5. Documentation: Document, evaluate, and research test results for future replication, maintaining comprehensive records of testing activities.

6. Process Improvement: Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance testing strategies and overall quality assurance practices.

7. Stakeholder Communication: Interface with development teams to clarify requirements and convey test results, ensuring clear and effective communication.

8. Mentorship: Provide informal guidance to new team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

9. Risk Assessment: Appropriately assess risks when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi's clients and assets.

10. Compliance: Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policies and applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Testing within Financial Services, with a strong understanding of industry standards and practices.

2. Technical Skills:

   • Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting languages.

   • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.

   • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and results.

3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to exchange complex information effectively.

4. Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents.

5. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, coordinating multiple testers and testing activities within a project.

6. Compliance Awareness: Understanding of compliance requirements and the ability to drive adherence to applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

7. Educational Qualification: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Expected Salary:
