Job Description:

As a Senior SDET – DevTest Engineering Senior Consultant Specialist at HSBC, you will be at the forefront of transforming the software development lifecycle by integrating quality engineering practices into every phase. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement robust test automation frameworks and solutions that ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Collaborating closely with development and operations teams, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and the adoption of DevOps practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Test Automation Framework Development: Design and implement scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.

2. Continuous Integration & Delivery: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure seamless and efficient software delivery.

3. Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with developers to understand application functionality and design effective test strategies.

4. Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance.

5. Test Strategy & Planning: Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans that align with project requirements and timelines.

6. Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

7. Quality Metrics & Reporting: Define and track key quality metrics, providing regular reports to stakeholders on test progress and results.

8. Tool Evaluation & Adoption: Evaluate and adopt new testing tools and technologies to enhance testing capabilities and efficiency.

9. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the software development process and implement mitigation strategies.

10. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing objectives and deliverables.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Experience: Minimum of 6 years in test automation, DevOps, and Agile environments.

3. Technical Skills:

   • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

   • Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar.

   • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Bamboo.

   • Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

4. Agile Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile principles and experience working in Agile teams.

5. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

6. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

7. Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent certifications in software testing are desirable.

8. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and mentor a team of testers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Expected Salary:

The expected salary for the Senior SDET – DevTest Engineering Senior Consultant Specialist role at HSBC ranges between ₹23,00,000 and ₹38,00,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
