Job Description:

As an Automation Testing – Selenium Consultant Specialist at HSBC Hyderabad, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the quality and performance of critical banking applications. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Maven, and TestNG, ensuring that applications meet the highest standards of functionality and performance.

In this role, you will also conduct performance testing using tools like LoadRunner and JMeter, analyzing system performance limitations and identifying areas for improvement. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the continuous integration pipeline using GitHub and Jenkins, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Automated Test Script Development: Design and implement automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Maven, and TestNG to validate application functionality and performance.

2. Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing of mission-critical applications using LoadRunner and JMeter, analyzing response times, resource consumption, and identifying bottlenecks.

3. Continuous Integration: Implement and maintain the continuous integration pipeline using GitHub, Jenkins, and Performance Center, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.

4. Test Case Creation & Execution: Develop comprehensive test cases, execute tests, and document results to ensure thorough validation of application features.

5. Defect Management: Identify, report, and track defects, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution and maintain product quality.

6. Agile Methodology: Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to the iterative development process.

7. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate test results, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders, providing recommendations for improvements.

8. Test Data Management: Identify and manage test data requirements, ensuring that test scenarios are executed with appropriate data sets.

9. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results for traceability and compliance purposes.

10. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Experience: Minimum of 6 years in Automation, Performance, and Manual Testing, with a strong background in Selenium WebDriver.

2. Technical Skills:

   • Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Maven, and TestNG.

   • Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner and JMeter.

   • Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.

   • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.

3. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex systems and identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey test results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

5. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and ensure high-quality deliverables.

6. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.

7. Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent certifications in software testing are desirable.

8. Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
