Job Description:
As a Functional & Automation Test Manager at Barclays Pune, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality software solutions that drive the bank's digital transformation. Roles & Responsibilities:

Test Strategy Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive test strategies encompassing functional, regression, and automation testing to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.

Test Automation Frameworks: Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages, facilitating early detection of defects and quality issues.

Performance Testing: Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter, and monitor system performance using Application Performance Management (APM) tools like AppDynamics.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, ensuring timely and effective fixes, and collaborating with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.

Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable software releases.

Test Environment Management: Set up and maintain test environments, ensuring they accurately reflect production conditions, and manage performance testing for multiple projects.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results for traceability and compliance purposes.

Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

Industry Trends: Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, actively contributing to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
Requirements & Eligibility:

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation and performance testing, preferably in a financial services or banking environment.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, or similar.

Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or VBScript.

Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner and JMeter.

Familiarity with Application Performance Management (APM) tools like AppDynamics.

Knowledge of system architecture, including web, APIs, databases, cloud, and microservices.

CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Bamboo.

Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.

Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.

Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of testing.

Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent certifications in software testing are desirable.
Expected Salary:
The expected salary for the Functional & Automation Test Manager role at Barclays India ranges between ₹15,00,000 and ₹25,00,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
