Job Description:

As a Functional & Automation Test Manager at Barclays Pune, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality software solutions that drive the bank's digital transformation. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Test Strategy Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive test strategies encompassing functional, regression, and automation testing to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.

2. Test Automation Frameworks: Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages, facilitating early detection of defects and quality issues.

3. Performance Testing: Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter, and monitor system performance using Application Performance Management (APM) tools like AppDynamics.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

5. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution, ensuring timely and effective fixes, and collaborating with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.

6. Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable software releases.

7. Test Environment Management: Set up and maintain test environments, ensuring they accurately reflect production conditions, and manage performance testing for multiple projects.

8. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results for traceability and compliance purposes.

9. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.

10. Industry Trends: Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, actively contributing to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation and performance testing, preferably in a financial services or banking environment.

3. Technical Skills:

   • Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, or similar.

   • Strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or VBScript.

   • Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner and JMeter.

   • Familiarity with Application Performance Management (APM) tools like AppDynamics.

   • Knowledge of system architecture, including web, APIs, databases, cloud, and microservices.

4. CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Bamboo.

5. Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.

6. Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

7. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

8. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.

9. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of testing.

10. Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent certifications in software testing are desirable.

Expected Salary:

The expected salary for the Functional & Automation Test Manager role at Barclays India ranges between ₹15,00,000 and ₹25,00,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
