Job Description:

As a Performance Tester at Cognizant, you will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, stability, and performance of our applications. Your role will involve analyzing Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), creating performance test strategies, and executing performance tests using tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, and NeoLoad. You will monitor server performance, capture various performance metrics, and identify potential bottlenecks or issues.

Your expertise will be crucial in logging defects, coordinating with development teams for fixes, and retesting after resolutions. You will also prepare detailed performance test execution summary reports and provide updates to stakeholders on the current performance testing status. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and reliability of our software solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze NFRs to identify performance testing scope.

  • Prepare performance testing effort estimations.

  • Develop performance test plans and strategies.

  • Create and execute performance test scripts using tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, and NeoLoad.

  • Monitor server performance and capture performance metrics.

  • Analyze performance metrics to identify issues and bottlenecks.

  • Log defects and coordinate with development teams for fixes.

  • Retest defects after fixes and validate performance improvements.

  • Participate in daily stand-up and triage calls.

  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on performance testing status.

  • Prepare and deliver performance test execution summary reports.

Requirements & Eligibility:

  • 5–9 years of experience in performance testing.

  • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, and NeoLoad.

  • Strong understanding of Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and performance testing strategies.

  • Experience in server monitoring and performance metrics analysis.

  • Ability to log defects and coordinate with development teams for resolutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
