Job Description:

As a Lead Quality Engineer at Cognizant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards across our software development lifecycle. Your expertise in automation testing and agile methodologies will be instrumental in delivering innovative solutions that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Strategy Development: Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive test strategies to ensure product quality and reliability.

  • Automation Frameworks: Oversee the development and execution of automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and TestNG.

  • CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing processes into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and Maven.

  • API Testing: Utilize RestAssured for API testing to ensure robust backend services.

  • Defect Management: Manage and track defects using Jira, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.

  • Agile Practices: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies as a Scrum Master to promote agile practices and continuous improvement.

  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and deliverables.

  • Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing and optimization to ensure scalability and efficiency.

  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior team members to foster a culture of quality and excellence.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve testing methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Playwright, Selenium, TestNG, RestAssured, Jenkins, Maven, Jira, TypeScript, Java, and PL/SQL.

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in software quality engineering.

  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager.

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience in the education domain is a plus.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
