Job Description

Amdocs is seeking a skilled Software Engineer specializing in Cramer to design and develop critical software systems that propel innovations in telecommunications and media. In this hybrid role based in Pune (with flexibility for Gurgaon), you'll be responsible for designing, modifying, debugging, and maintaining software components in alignment with functional and technical design specifications. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing and sustaining existing software systems by investigating issues, debugging code, and implementing effective fixes and workarounds. Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design & Development
   Architect, code, modify, and debug ways in software systems based on technical and functional design specifications.

2. Maintainability & Scalability
   Implement software following Amdocs standards and development methodologies to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

3. Issue Resolution
   Investigate operational issues by thoroughly reviewing code, applying debug practices, and delivering timely fixes or workarounds.

4. Peer Collaboration
   Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback, and work alongside cross-functional teams to drive product enhancements.

5. Technical Accountability
   Own the quality and performance of your deliverables and contribute to solution design, ensuring new requirements are supported technically.

7. Stakeholder Demos
   Present and demonstrate software features or updates to relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

8. Domain-Specific Expertise
   Apply knowledge in OSS Telecom (Inventory Management) and Cramer tools (ARM/ANN/Metadata) to enhance domain-specific functionality.

9. API Integration
   Develop REST APIs and integrate with services supporting efficient and seamless communication in the application ecosystem.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Experience
   2–7 years of hands-on experience in software engineering within a telecommunications or enterprise environment.

2. Domain Expertise
   Proficiency in OSS Telecom—particularly in Inventory Management—and familiarity with Amdocs Cramer suite components such as ARM, ANN, Metadata Manager, and Resource Manager.

3. Technical Stack
   Strong hands-on skills in Java, PL/SQL, SQL, and REST API development.

4. Framework Knowledge
   Demonstrated experience working with Spring and Spring-Boot frameworks for building scalable applications.

5. Desirable Frontend Skills
   Experience with Angular is a plus along with understanding of messaging or API architectures (e.g., Kafka, TMF).

6. Debugging & Troubleshooting
   Excellent analytical skills to investigate issues, debug complex code, and apply effective solutions.

7. Team Collaboration
   Proven ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, participate effectively in code reviews, and co-develop solutions.

8. Communication Skills
   Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills tailored to both technical peers and stakeholders.

9. Quality-Driven
   Commitment to maintain high code quality, best practices, and continuous delivery standards.

Expected Salary

The expected salary for this Software Engineer (Cramer) role at Amdocs in India is estimated to range from ₹10 LPA to ₹20 LPA, depending on your experience and expertise with Cramer, Spring Boot, and OSS Telecom domains.
