Infor: Software Engineer – Associate

Job Description

Infor, a global leader in business cloud software products, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer – Associate to join their growing Infor OS (Operating Service) organization in Hyderabad. Infor OS is a foundational cloud platform that provides horizontal technology services across all of Infor’s Cloud suites.

As a Software Engineer – Associate, you will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced, cross-functional team composed of business analysts, developers, architects, product owners, and quality assurance analysts delivering a portfolio of world-class products. You will work in an Agile environment, tackling challenging problems that will keep you engaged and learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative setting.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Software Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to develop new features and functionalities for Infor's cloud-based products.

2. Testing & Validation: Execute manual testing procedures to identify software defects and inconsistencies. Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure product reliability.

3. Test Planning & Documentation: Assist in the development of test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Maintain comprehensive test documentation for tracking and reporting.

4. Defect Identification & Reporting: Identify and document software defects with clear and concise descriptions. Report defects to the development team and collaborate for resolution.

5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to bring new features and enhancements to the product. Participate in daily scrum meetings and contribute to team discussions.

6. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest technologies and development practices. Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.

7. Code Reviews: Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and the implementation of best practices.

8. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, tooling enhancements, and best practices to streamline development workflows.

9. Documentation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals.

10. Support: Provide technical assistance to implementation and support teams. Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by clients.

11. Agile Practices: Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

12. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all software applications meet specified requirements and standards before release.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Educational Qualification: An undergraduate or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Technical Skills:

   • Understanding of Restful APIs.

   • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman/Ready API.

   • Familiarity with microservice-based architectures.

   • Knowledge of databases and SQL.

3. Tools & Technologies:

   • Experience with version control systems like Git.

   • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.

   • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services.

4. Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly grasp concepts, analyze problems, and provide innovative solutions.

5. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

6. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

7. Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.

8. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

9. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.

10. Experience: 0–1 year of relevant experience in software development or related fields.
