Wipro, a leading global technology services and consulting company, is seeking a Test Engineer – L1 to join their dynamic team in Chennai. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing test cases and performing testing of products, platforms, or solutions to be deployed at client sites, ensuring they meet 100% quality assurance parameters.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into testable scenarios. Roles & Responsibilities

1. Test Planning & Design: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements, ensuring all aspects of the product are thoroughly tested.

2. Manual Testing: Execute manual test cases to identify defects and ensure the product functions as intended.

3. Automation Testing: Assist in automating test cases using appropriate tools and scripting languages to improve testing efficiency.

4. Defect Reporting: Identify, document, and report defects, providing detailed information to facilitate prompt resolution.

5. Collaboration: Work closely with developers and other team members to understand requirements and provide feedback on test results.

6. Test Execution: Execute test cases, track results, and ensure that all testing activities are completed within the specified timelines.

7. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of test cases, test results, and defect reports.

8. Continuous Improvement: Participate in reviews and retrospectives to identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.

9. Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients regarding testing progress, issues, and resolutions.

10. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all testing activities adhere to Wipro's quality standards and client expectations.

11. Training & Development: Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends.

12. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in testing processes.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Technical Skills: Basic understanding of software development and testing methodologies.

3. Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is advantageous.

4. Testing Tools: Exposure to testing tools like Selenium, QTP, or LoadRunner is a plus.

5. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and clients.

7. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
