The Automation Test Engineer (Selenium & API) will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for both UI and API layers of web applications. You will collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to ensure high-quality software delivery in a CI/CD environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver (Java/Python).

  • Design and execute automated API tests for REST and SOAP services using REST Assured, Postman, or SoapUI.

  • Build scalable and reusable automation frameworks for both UI and API testing.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

  • Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing across browsers and platforms.

  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide detailed documentation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure complete test coverage.

  • Maintain test data and support test environment setup.

Skills & Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java or Python.

  • Strong experience in API testing tools: REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI.

  • Experience with TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest frameworks.

  • Solid understanding of JSON, XML, HTTP methods, and status codes.

  • Proficiency in XPath, CSS selectors, and handling dynamic elements.

  • Version control using Git and platforms like GitHub or Bitbucket.

  • CI/CD integration using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and capable of prioritizing tasks in Agile teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Salary Expectation

For Pune-based candidates, expected salary ranges between ₹8,00,000 – ₹12,00,000 per annum, depending on automation experience and exposure to Selenium and API automation frameworks.
